One of the main concerns one has when purchasing any piece of high-tech equipment is the fact that at some point soon after the purchase, a newer version of the gadget is released, or the whole technology itself becomes obsolete. However, if you’re a ReefBot owner, this will NEVER happen to you! In this article, we explain why that is.

1) Your ReefBot won’t miss out on any of the new features released after you purchased it.

Here at Reef Kinetics, our engineers are always toiling to find out what new features they could add to the ReefBot to further improve its performance or enhance the user experience. Once such a feature is discovered, it’s not only added to the next batch of manufactured ReefBots, but all the older ReefBots sold prior to the release of this feature also receive it through automatic software updates. And just in case you were wondering how long our software updates take, the answer is that it all happens in a matter of minutes.

2) Your ReefBot gets all the new bug fixes.

Our ReefBots have already gone through extensive testing to get rid of all the bugs. Every now and then, however, like all high-tech equipment that is highly dependent on software, new bugs can still be discovered. Just because you made the purchase before a newly discovered bug was fixed doesn’t mean your ReefBot won’t have the fix. When your ReefBot receives an automatic software update, you’re not only getting all the new features, but you’re also getting all the new bug fixes our software team has been working on.

3) Your ReefBot gets all the newly added parameter tests.

In our own opinion, this is by far one of the most impressive benefits we at Reef Kinetics can provide to ReefBot owners. Today, the ReefBot can autonomously measure the levels of 7 parameters (alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, nitrate, phosphate, nitrite, and ammonia). This wasn’t always the case, however. When the ReefBot was first released about 6 months ago, it was only able to measure the levels of 4 parameters. And yet, our fans who bought the ReefBot when it first came out are today also able to test all 7 parameters! At Reef Kinetics, we are always working to add more parameters to our ReefBots, and as soon as we upload the new parameters on our servers, all our ReefBots – whether they’re newly manufactured or whether they were sold 6 months ago – are able to test the newly added parameters.

4) Your ReefBot will always be compatible with the hardware Reef Kinetics releases.

This goes without saying. All the hardware we release can be used on any ReefBot, no matter how long it has been operating for or when it was purchased. Very soon, we will be releasing the “Doser”, which will carry out the necessary dosing in your tank/aquarium based on the ReefBot’s tests, and it will be complimentary with all the ReefBots ever created!

All you need to have so that your ReefBot enjoys the benefits mentioned above and is up to date is simply an internet connection. That’s it. We can then take it from there and make sure your ReefBot is always NEW!
